Financial Freedom - Crossroads Rendezvous

Starting the journey to financial freedom is a tough proposition. Making the decision and putting your act together in preparation is tough enough. Listening to the "experts" is a different ball game entirely. There are so many voices, if you are not careful; you end up more confused than your were when you quest for knowledge began.

I take some of the advice with a pinch of salt. The sad fact is that some so called "experts" marshal their points mainly because of the product they are pushing at the end of their sales copy. You begin to wonder which advice is genuine, and which is part of the sales pitch.

Do we have to follow one rule of engagement in our quest for financial freedom? Amidst the cacophony of voices, which path do we follow? Tough questions. Like I mentioned earlier, I strongly believe that the journey to financial freedom is a lonely one. We have to take our decisions and make our moves, alone. The buck stops at our table.

A Hero Lies in You

We are all created unique, with a unique set of talents and temperaments. There is hardly one size fits all for life's issues. Some people need to set goals to achieve their dreams. Some get there anyhow. All said and done, we have to find out for ourselves the best way forward. Books and expert advice only bring up the facts. It is our duty to make our own decisions based on those facts. Nobody can make those decisions for us, no matter how well meaning. We all have what it takes to excel in our area of core competence. We don't have to reinvent the wheel, at the same time we have to remain true to ourselves

As we arrive at each crossroad of our lives, we have a choice to make and a step to take. Where we are today is a result of the cumulative choices we made and steps we took in the past. Tomorrow will be the sum total of choices made and steps taken today. Today is the tomorrow we spoke about yesterday.

We have to connect with our purpose, and chart our way forward. When it comes to brass tacks, other people's theories and testimonies cannot see us through. At that defining Financial-freedom-moment you are alone.

When you find yourself at the crossroads rendezvous, the only place to look is inside?
